Data Protection

Using this website does not require you to provide personal data. Where personal data is collected, for example through our contact form, this is always voluntary. Full details of how we handle that data are set out in our Privacy Notice below.

We expressly prohibit the use of contact details published on this website by third parties for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising or informational material. We reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited commercial communication, including spam email.

Privacy Notice for the Contact Form

This section explains what happens to the information you provide when you use the contact form on this website, as required by Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).

Controller

72Seconds B.V., Herengracht 551, 1017 BW Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 98692402. For any question relating to your personal data, write to legal@72seconds.ai.

What we collect

Information you enter: your name, work email address, and message. Optionally your company name, phone number, and the service you are interested in.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page you submitted from, the time of submission, and how long the form was open before you sent it. We collect these solely to detect and block automated abuse of the form. We do not use them for analytics, profiling, or advertising.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

To answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries where no contract is envisaged.

To prevent abuse of the form. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in protecting our systems from automated spam and misuse. Our contact form receives a substantial volume of automated submissions, and without these checks it would not be usable.

Automated processing and the use of AI

Abuse detection. Each submission is assessed automatically against a set of technical rules, and submissions identified as automated abuse are discarded without a reply. If you believe a genuine enquiry was wrongly discarded, please email us directly at contact@72seconds.ai and we will look into it.

AI-assisted replies. The content of your message is processed by an artificial intelligence system in order to categorise your enquiry and prepare a draft reply. Every draft is reviewed by a member of our team before anything is sent to you. No decision producing legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you is made solely by automated means.

Categories of recipients

Your enquiry is handled by our own staff. In addition, we rely on a small number of service providers who process the data strictly on our instructions under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. They fall into the following categories:

Web hosting and infrastructure providers
Business communication and productivity providers
Business process automation providers
Artificial intelligence service providers

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. A current list of the processors we engage is available on request from legal@72seconds.ai.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the providers above process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, the transfer is covered either by an adequacy decision of the European Commission or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary measures where required. You may request further information, including a copy of the relevant safeguards, from legal@72seconds.ai.

How long we keep it

Technical abuse-prevention records (IP address, user-agent, timing): 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Records of submissions identified as automated abuse: the sender address is retained on a block list for as long as the abuse continues, and removed once it has been inactive for twelve months.
Your enquiry and our correspondence: retained for as long as needed to deal with your request and, where a business relationship follows, for the statutory retention periods applicable under Dutch law.
Your contact details: retained in our contact records so that we can recognise you in future correspondence, until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing rests on our legitimate interest, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise any of these rights, contact legal@72seconds.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Is providing this data required?

No. Using the contact form is entirely voluntary. Name, email address, and message are required only because we cannot reply without them. If you prefer not to use the form, you can email us directly at contact@72seconds.ai.
